Muscle Activation Techniques, or M.A.T. (not to be confused with mat Pilates) is a unique and non-invasive process for evaluating your ability to develop efficient muscle contraction. Our goal is to help your muscle regain it’s health and restore normal movement and function through balancing the muscular system to people of all ages.
Any loss of muscular contraction and even contraction efficiency can result in a loss of motion, decreased performance capacity, aches, pains and even the loss of physical capabilities. The system is formatted to “jumpstart” the muscles in order to help them function with maximum efficiency.
Well known in the United States and in eastern Canada, Gillian is one of only three MAT Certified Specialists in Vancouver, trained and certified to perform these application techniques to the body. Working with professional athletes from Seattle, to local clients with neuropathies, and from exercise enthusiasts to ICBC patients, Muscle Activation has helped them restore optimal motion and regain normal function.
